Documentary streams: Kodak Alaris and Ephesoft extol the merits of artificial intelligence
Experts in dematerialization, Kodak Alaris and Ephesoft jointly organized, on July 10, a webinar dedicated to artificial intelligence in the service of the automation of the integration of documentary flows in business solutions. A look back at the main lessons of this presentation.
“Take advantage of AI’s advances to automate the integration of all vox document flows into your business solutions”: this was the theme of the webinar organized on July 10 and moderated by Adrien Vandy, pre-sales engineer at Kodak Alaris, and Patrice Chakroun, senior consultant for Ephesoft. This is an opportunity for the two experts to recall the synergies between the two companies they represent, long-standing partners.
From the importance of switching to artificial intelligence
Nevertheless, this webinar focused on the need for organizations to move to automation to ensure the success of their Ged. In this regard, customer expectations are particularly high, as technologies are able to solve certain problems, particularly related to reliable copying.
“Reliable copying is based on two main pillars. On the one hand, the fidelity of the document: one must be able to read the information on the document in a comprehensive way. The other pillar of reliable copying will be traceability, that is, ensuring that the document is traceable, its time stamp, and thus being able to protect its integrity,” Vandy said.
Technology, an added value to make electronic documents more reliable
Fortunately, different technological avenues can be considered to address the problems posed by digitized documents. Kodak Alaris has equipped all of its scanners with the Perfect Page solution, which guarantees the production of an image faithful to the original. Traceability, on the other hand, is ensured by the creation of metadata necessary to audit the scanning chain (operator and machine identification, processing process used and scanning profile).
These elements allow the calculation, at the end of the process, the digital footprint of the document, a mathematical function unique to each file, making possible the traceability of its origin and preserving its integrity until its delivery. In addition, Kodak Alaris and Ephesoft offer AI and machine learning solutions to make data classification and extraction ever more efficient. So many features, and much more, that will be widely highlighted during the next edition of Documation, which will take place from 22 to 24 September 2020 at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles in Paris.
